One Landmark at a Time
Private citizens committed to historic preservation, rehabilitation, and conservation
The Tombstone Restoration Commission has been protecting the historic character of Tombstone since 1949. We are an independent nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers who believe that Tombstone's 140-year history deserves to be preserved for future generations — not just the famous gunfight, but the schools, churches, businesses, and civic life that made this town remarkable.
We identify, document, and restore historic buildings that define Tombstone's architectural legacy.
We work alongside the City of Tombstone, local businesses, and generous foundations to fund and complete restoration projects.
Through tours, public meetings, and educational outreach, we keep Tombstone's history accessible and alive.
